As part of our ongoing commitment to student education, the Australian Institute of Professional Photography (AIPP) offered seven photography students from around the country a full bursary to attend the 2013 Nikon AIPP Event.
Bursaries were awarded to one student from each state and included:
- Full registration for 4 days at The Event.
- Return Airfare from the closest hub airport to Hobart airport and bus transfer to The Event. Alternate arrangements may be made for the Tasmanian recipient.
- 4 nights twin share accommodation at Hotel Grand Chancellor Hobart.
- An interview with a speaker of their choice. (pending availability of speaker)
- 1 Workshop at the discretion of the convener.

Chris Oaten - As an attendee of last year’s AIPP Nikon Event, I enjoyed inspiration that set me on my current track, which includes a long-term project that will follow me as I transition from TAFE to operating full-time as a business. I look forward to seeing what direction and inspiration I can gather from this year’s conference.
John Nguyen - I missed out on attending The Event last year but im determined to win the student bursary this year. I’ve been working really hard to get together a great collection of images for this year’s entry! Can’t wait
